The KXM 20-A is a high-output, two-way active stage monitor engineered for clarity, control, and fast deployment. Delivering up to 134 dB SPL Max with a 2000 W Peak Class-D amplifier, it provides 90° x 70° constant-directivity coverage for a stable monitoring window and predictable off-axis response. The multifunctional cabinet features a symmetrical transducer configuration to ensure consistent voicing across the listening area. Two 8" neodymium woofers with 2.5" voice coils deliver punch and headroom, while a horn-loaded neodymium compression driver with a 3" voice coil ensures strong vocal presence and projection. Integrated DSP processing with FiRPHASE and BMC improves coherence and definition in real-world conditions, and onboard RDNet control enables centralized monitoring and control for efficient stage workflows. The multifunctional cabinet makes KXM 20-A equally effective as a stage wedge or as a controlled point source in portable FOH or fill applications.

Bass Motion Control®

KX speakers equipped with Bass Motion Control (BMC) produce the lowest audible frequencies without affecting the woofer stability, with extended linearity and better sound integrity. The BMC method creates a complete map of the dynamic behavior of the woofer, to generate a custom algorithm that limits over-excursions. Traditional high-pass filters protect the woofer from over-excursion but change the phase/frequency response. In contrast, the new BMC algorithm protects the woofer allowing total freedom of signal reproduction.

New perspective on linearity

KX speakers are designed using a proprietary and advanced digital FiR technology, conceived to deliver transparent sound, absolute clarity, and perfect imaging to the listener. The special FiRPHASE processing distributes sound to all listeners without phase distortions, ensuring minimum latencies in the system. The algorithm corrects phase and amplitude (if necessary) by taking into account the weak points of the transducers and the resonances or cancellations due to the cabinet of the loudspeaker.
