CN-8M: Torsion Speaker Grille

Contoured steel torsion grille supports speaker assemblies up to 3.5 lbs. For assemblies heavier than 3.5 lbs. the torsion springs will support the grille only if the speaker is direct-mounted to the inner flange of Lowell IX Series backbox.

A&E SPECIFICATIONS

The grille for 8 inch speakers shall be Lowell Model CN-8M. It shall be fabricated from 20-gauge steel with a welded steel mesh center and mount using torsion bracket/spring devices. The grille diameter shall be 12.5 in. with a shallow mounting projection of .754 in. It shall be finished in white powder epoxy and include welded studs, serrated hex nuts, two torsion bracket/spring devices and installation accessories to mount to specified Lowell backbox or mounting ring with torsion receptacles. The torsion/bracket method shall be adjustable for varied ceiling depths.
