Product Overview

The E-Films MxR Expresscard is a custom designed and purpose built USB Expresscard adapter, which supports all brands and sizes of SDHC and SDXC memory for use in Sony XDCAM EX cameras.

What does it do?

• Adapts SDHC and SDXC memory to replace expensive Sony SxS Pro and SxS-1 memory in the Sony range of EX cameras for recording
• Supports all under and over cranking speeds. Recording is flawless from 1-60 frames per second, the same as SxS Pro
• High speed downloads. Downloading SD memory to computer using the E-Films MxR Expresscard is 30+ Megabytes/sec in a real world environment, not on an artificial test bench, which is half the speed of SxS, but does not require expensive readers or a laptop with an Expresscard reader
• Supports memory up to and including 64GB
• The camera treats the E-Films MxR Expresscard adapter as if it were writing to an SxS Pro memory card
• Can be downloaded in a computer Expresscard slot, or use the E-Films USB Expresscard adapter

Tips on choosing memory

We recommend you choose a brand by its reputation for reliability, rather than cheap price. We also suggest that any new memory card be tested before use, by filling it completely by recording at 60fps. This is a good test to ensure you will not have problems in the field. After exhaustive testing of many brands and many sizes we are not aware of any incompatibilities to date.
